The Dogon system is so close to Nile Valley philosophical and mythic thought that it must be concluded that the people who became the Dogon brought it out with them more or less intact from ancient Egypt and have preserved it among themselves ever since. Their cosmological speculations reveal an extraordinary level of knowledge and understanding, one that compares to that of modern astrophysics. The ancient world system of the Nile Valley civilization lives through the Dogon of contemporary times.
